DANIEL MACLISE – Part 1
In early 2018 the curator’s office of the UK Parliament began the restoration of two huge paintings – 12ft x 46ft – by renowned Irish artist Daniel Maclise (1806 –1870)
Hanging in the royal gallery ‘The Meeting of Wellington and Blücher after the Battle of Waterloo’ and ‘The Death of Nelson’ are considered amongst his masterpieces.
The first in a series of four films by WAKEWOOD captures this restoration effort.
